Seaside Vacation Rental Cottage in Trenton, Maine

Banach Seaside Cottage near Acadia National Park Banach Seaside Cottage provides spectacular views of Western Bay and the mountains of Mount Desert Island. Situated in a quiet, wooded setting on 3/4 acre in Trenton, Maine, all of the area sights are within an easy driving distance. Acadia National Park is only 10 miles away. Bar Harbor is only 12 miles.

You will enjoy this secluded oceanside setting that comes with your own 200 foot private pebble beach (see photo below). You can watch sunrise from the cottage as you sip your coffee from the sunporch. Or, go out on the private deck and sit in an Adirondack chair while you watch seagulls soaring overhead. If you are lucky, you may see eagles, osprey, or even a seal swimming in the bay. In the evening after dark, the view is gorgeous when the moonlight sparkles on the water.

200 foot private pebble beachThe shore at Trenton is an ideal place to stay during your visit to Maine and Acadia National Park. It is the area located on the mainland just before you cross the bridge that takes you to Thompson Island and then to Mount Desert Island. You can spend much of your time visiting the Park, Bar Harbor, and other villages on Mount Desert Island and still be close enough to take the approximate 35 mile drive to see Schoodic Peninsula, the only portion of Acadia National Park located on the mainland. Schoodic is a favorite for many people who prefer a more undeveloped Downeast location. The commercial center of Ellsworth, with shops and restaurants, is a 15 minute drive away, and Maine lobster can be purchased close by, live or cooked, at the best local prices.

Living room with wood stoveThe cottage has a comfortable living room, two bedrooms, a bathroom, a kitchen with modern appliances, a small breakfast sunporch, and an outdoor deck. It has both electric heat and a wood stove. The two bedrooms will sleep four comfortably.

Local activities include kayaking, fishing, swimming, biking, hiking, whale watching, bird watching, nature cruises, sailing, etc. There are also many great shops, restaurants, pubs, galleries and museums in the area. The cottage features a guest book where past guests have recorded their tips for the best things to see and do. Whether you actively explore the many scenic areas in the vicinity, or just take a sand chair and a book down the steps to the private beach, you are sure to have a pleasant, restful getaway.
